Macleans College, a distinguished co-educational secondary school is seeking a full-time experienced and dedicated Property Manager to join our team. This role is a newly created position to manage the property maintenance and projects of this expansive school.
Position Overview
To manage and oversee caretaking, grounds maintenance, liaise with contractors, manage property administration and oversee property projects to ensure efficient operation of our school campus.
The role involves leading a team, including two caretakers and one property administrator. You would provide guidance and supervision to ensure smooth operations.
This role requires strong organisational skills, leadership and communication skills, along with the ability to multitask and oversee several projects at once.
The role reports directly to the school Principal.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Understanding of facilities maintenance and operations on a large campus/plant
- Coordinating grounds contractors for general maintenance, repairs and projects
- Experience working with IT systems, asset management, security systems and alarms
- Staff Management – able to provide guidance and support to ensure a cohesive team
- Budget management – ensuring efficient allocation of resources
- Project Management – proven experience in leading and coordinating small and large projects
Additionally, there will be a handover to ensure a smooth transition from the present staff to the newly appointed Property Manager.
