The winner of the popular People’s Choice Award for the 16th annual Estuary Art and Ecology Award has been announced.
Artist Daisy Nicholas was chosen by the community for her artwork Coastal Echo, a cyanotype made in collaboration with the estuary water.
The 20 finalists’ works of the award, as well as a selection of other entries in the Uxbridge concourse area, were displayed at the Malcolm Smith Gallery until August 27, and all could be considered for the People’s Choice Award ($1000).
The award is proudly sponsored by the Rice Family Partnership who recognise the importance of the Estuary Art and Ecology Award in bringing awareness of the damage to the estuary caused by urbanisation and development.
