The Howick Village Business Association has got a busy year planned, with four town events happening before the end of April, and plenty more to come.
Grab your calendar, dust off a pen and make sure you’ve got these dates written down – it’s entertainment you don’t want to miss!
Town and Country Day will be taking place on Saturday, February 25th. The event will provide free entertainment, market day specials, great shopping, cafes and restaurants, plus the Old MacDonald’s Farm complete with pony rides and Sammy the Steamtrain. It’s a fun family day out.
The Howick Village Market is still as popular as ever, with new stalls arriving, and the usual favourites still thriving. It is on every Saturday from 8:00am-12:30pm – there’s no better start to your weekend.
A Village Plan is currently being undertaken by the Auckland Council with lots of input from a wide range of people within the community.
Auckland Council attended the Saturday markets before Christmas and again in mid-January to gain community input, and the response was very positive.
We’re all looking forward to the outcome!
Business-wise, a few changes are taking place in the Village, with changes to Silk Jewellers and Victoria’s who have been long-term businesses. We wish them well for their futures.
