Operatunity’s Daytime Concert Series is bringing ‘That’s Amore’ to Botany next week, and hope they’ll bring a dose of Italian happiness along with it!

Held at St Columba Presbyterian Church on February 28, ‘That’s Amore’ brings three of Operatunity’s most talented tenors to the stage for an unforgettable performance.

Filled with romance, passion and wonderful melodies, the show celebrates these tenors whose welcoming performances draw in the audience.

Tenors Bonaventure Allan-Moetaua, Derek Hill and Kalauni Pouvalu have been performing together for almost five years, within New Zealand and internationally.

Allan-Moetaua grew up in Wellington before studying singing at the University of Auckland and is of Rarotongan heritage.

The talented singer has performed with Operatunity for more than 12 years, performed with New Zealand Opera and was a finalist for the New Zealand Aria competition in 2007-8.

He is joined by Hill, a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Canada, who has gone on to work with the New Zealand Opera, New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra.

The third Tenor is Pouvalu, a NZ born Tongan who has been performing with Operatunity since 2014 and was awarded the prestigious Dame Kiri Te Kanawa Foundation Award for the most promising classical singer at the NZ Singing School in 2013.

Together, they bring a wealth of talent, friendship and humour to the stage.
