Some banks in New Zealand and Australia are suffering outages, impacting customers’ ability to log into their accounts online and pay for goods electronically.
In a statement posted to social media, ASB Bank says: “Our apologies, FastNet Classic, FastNet Business, and the ASB mobile app are temporarily unavailable.
“Some credit and debit card payments are also impacted, causing them to decline in-store and online.
“This is an external vendor issue impacting companies worldwide and we are working closely with them to restore service.
“Thanks for your patience, and we apologise for any inconvenience.”
The ASB ATM in Picton Street, Howick, was out of order about an hour ago.
Kiwibank has also posted a statement online, which says: “Some customers may be having issues using their cards and ATMs are unavailable.
“We’re doing what we can to work through this and thanks for your patience on a Friday night.
