Construction of the flyover, which will connect Pakuranga Road to the South Eastern Arterial above Reeves Rd and across Ti Rakau Drive, is planned to begin in 2020 and will take two years to complete.

Once completed, it will provide motorists with an alternative travel routes and will reduce traffic at key intersections and on Pakuranga Road and Ti Rakau Drive by up to 40 per cent according to Auckland Transport.
