Supporting the Pakuranga community during the Covid-19 level four lockdown is his top priority during this crisis, says Pakuranga MP Simeon Brown.
“Over the past three weeks, my office and I have been busier than ever answering emails and phone calls as the country faces what is one of the biggest challenges ever. As part of our response we have been working hard to ensure our community is connected and is supporting each other.”
“One of the initiatives which we have rolled out is the launch of the Pakuranga & Howick Street Captain network. I have been blown away with the response with over 200 people putting their hands up as representatives of their streets to lead local efforts to identify and help anyone in need during the Covid-19 alert level 4 lockdown.”
“This effort is crucial to ensuring that no-one is left behind during this very difficult time. Some in our community will be living alone and may not have any family or friends to help them.”

“We are also focussing on supporting those who need some extra assistance at this time – particularly those over 70. My office will put them in touch with someone who can assist or connect them with the right assistance.”
