A police spokesperson says that at about 1.30pm today, September 14, police received a report of an aggravated robbery at a commercial address on Chapel Road.

The Times understands the incident happened at the Michael Hill store at Botany Town Centre.

“Police attended, however the group of offenders fled in a stolen vehicle,” the spokesperson says.

“Enquiries are being made to identify what was taken, and locate the offenders.”

The same store was previously targeted by thieves at about 5.40pm on July 18.

That incident saw a group of offenders who were carrying tools enter the premises and smash several glass cabinets.

Police said at the time the thieves took a number of items before leaving in two vehicles, both of which were later found abandoned a short distance away.
