Around 90 guests attended the 40th anniversary of community services by Citizens Advice Bureau Pakuranga-Eastern Manukau at a special function on Friday.
“Our chief executive officer Kerry Dalton came up from CABNZ Wellington to join us and speak at the celebration,” said manager Louise Boswell.
“A mention was made that our interviewers had handled 75,000 client enquiries for the last five years, to 30 June 2017.”
Meanwhile, three of the original bureau interviewers attended.
“Annette Allcott, Lorraine Hay and Rene Barclay were present and Annette, with the assistance of our latest recruit, Jina Song, cut the cake,” she said.
Simeon Brown the MP for Pakuranga, also attended along with the former Mayor of Howick Borough, Morrin Cooper and the CAB’s longest serving current member of 33 years, Tricia Burns, who was part of the social team that planned the event.
David Rooke, CAB Pakuranga’s legal adviser who has been attending the CAB legal clinic since 1978 and organises a roster of local legal colleagues, was acknowledged for his dedication and commitment as a volunteer lawyer.
