Congratulations to Des Coutts and Larry O’Reilly of the Howick Village Butchery for 30 years in business!
Des and Larry have owned the Howick Village Butchery since 1987 and since then have done a wonderful job supporting and reflecting the values of Howick Village.
In 2009, Des and Larry won the Business Person of the Year Award at the Howick Showcase Awards.
It’s no secret they make the best pork sausages on this side of the black stump and offer world-renowned service, serving up scrumptious bacon, ham, and a decent dose of humour, but it’s the people they serve who make the job worth it, said Des.
“They’re friendly and a fantastic bunch to serve.”
The shop first opened in 1923 as White’s Butchery and has gone from strength to strength under the recent ownership of Des and Larry.
So next time you’re in and around the village, pop into the Howick Village Butchery, wish them a happy 30th and grab a pork sausage while you’re at it!
